Corrections

Accuracy

We get things wrong sometimes. This page explains how to tell us, what we do about it, and where the changes are recorded.

Tell us about an error

Email [email protected] with:

  • a link to the article;
  • the sentence or figure you believe is wrong;
  • if you have it, a source that shows the correct position.

Corrections are dealt with by the editorial desk. We aim to reply within five working days.

What we do

  • Factual or translation error. We fix the text and add a dated note at the foot of the article.
  • Error that changes what the article says. We fix the text and add a correction note explaining what was changed, so the original error is not hidden.
  • Article that cannot be fixed. We withdraw it and leave the page in place with a note explaining why, so links to it do not break.

We do not silently edit or delete articles after publication. Any substantive change is noted on the article and listed below.

Requests we do not accept

If you are named in an article and you believe the description is inaccurate, write to us with evidence and we will check it. We will correct errors of fact. We will not remove accurate reporting, and we do not change articles because someone dislikes the conclusion.

No corrections have been recorded yet. This log begins on 14 September 2026; corrections issued before that date were not tracked and cannot be reconstructed.

When a correction is issued it will be listed here with the article, the date and a short description of what changed.
